He was married to Martha LESTER (daughter of Peter LESTER and Mary) in 1740 in
Bucks Co., PA.2 Martha LESTER died in 1797.3
It is said that she was killed by Indians in a raid while her husband was away
and the children were held captive. Moses COPPOCK and Martha LESTER had the
following children:

She was married to Marmaduke COATE in 1754.6
Marmaduke COATE7 was born on June 13, 1738 in S.C. (?).8
He died on September 25, 1822 in Miami Co., Ohio.9 He was
buried in Union Cemetery, Miami Co., Ohio.10 Marmaduke
ransomed Mary Coppock from the Indians, who had captured her and her siblings
after killing her mother. He furnished supplies for the Revolutionary army, and
is a NC Patriot for doing so. Mary Jane COPPOCK and Marmaduke COATE had the

S.C. or New Jersey. From information that mother picked up in Waynesville, Ohio.

Rebecca YOUNT) on February 20, 1840 in Miami Co., Ohio.39

Near Waynesville, Ohio. He served in the military between 1861 and 1863 in
Company C, Nineteenth Indiana Infantry saw action at Gainesville, where he was
wounded.49 Wounded at Gainesville Aug. 26, 1862, resigned
Feb. 9,1863 minie-ball wound. He was elected as Sheriff between 1864 and 1868 in
Randolph Co., In.50 He died on December 24, 1907 in
Randolph Co., IN.51 He was buried in Cherry Grove
Cemetery, Randolph Co., IN.52 He owned 408 Acres in
Randolph Co., In. Farmer and a sheriff. Company C 19th Indiana Inf. during Civil
War.
Owned 408 acres Bloomingsport, Randolph County, Indiana.
He was married to Margaret A. ELLIS (daughter of Solomon ELLIS and Eleanor
STILLWELL) on July 14, 1858 in Randolph Co., IN.53,54,55,56
Margaret A. ELLIS was born on June 20, 1841 in Randolph Co., IN. She was
buried in 1912 in Cherry Grove Cemetery, Randolph Co., In. She died on February
1, 1912 in Randolph Co., IN. Joel Allen NEWMAN and Margaret A. ELLIS had the

south of Bloomingsport, Randolph Co., In. His horse was killed and buggy
demolished. The Winchester paper reports on 8/ 24/ 1916, that he may die as a
result of his injuries.
This person is not listed in Ruth's papers. Where did we get this name? Is he
confused with someone else?

He was married to Sarah CORNELIUS on November 24, 1856 in Randolph Co., In.60,54
Sarah CORNELIUS died in 1856 or 1857. She was born in Wayne Co., In.

44. Jesse Clark HOOVER was born on September 2, 1846 in Stillwater, Ohio.61
He died on December 13, 1880 in West Branch, Iowa.62
He was married to Hulda Randall MINTHORN on March 12, 1870 in Iowa.63
